Staff Scientist - Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard
Lab Alumnus
Navid received his PhD in physics as well as a master's degree in applied mathematics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He received his undergraduate degree in physics from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. His research interests revolve around the modeling and analysis of complex dynamical systems. His doctoral dissertation concerns reduced dynamical modeling of high-dimensional spatio-temporal pattern forming systems arising in fluid mechanics. He has also studied percolation on dependent lattices. More recently, his research has been focused on efficient community detection algorithms in large real-world networks.
