Philipp Hunziker

Philipp Hunziker is a postdoctoral researcher at Northeastern University’s Network Science Institute. His research focuses on explaining and predicting the spatio-temporal dynamics of political violence. In his work, he leverages methods from machine learning and computational statistics to process unstructured data like maps, newspaper texts, and tweets. He has published in the Journal of Peace Research, the American Journal of Political Science, and Science, among others. Philipp completed his graduate work at the Center for Comparative and International Studies at ETH Zurich, where he worked with Prof. Lars-Erik Cederman.
