Hong Qu

Hong is a first year student working with Professor David Lazer as a member of the Lazer Lab.  He has a BA from Wesleyan University and a MS in Information Science (focus on HCI and NLP) from UC Berkeley.  He plans to investigate online civic organizing networks, specifically for participatory norm-setting and policymaking to regulate Artificial Intelligence technologies.  Hong has worked in Silicon Valley tech startups and in journalism as a technologist and researcher.
